A Tablescape fit for a 60th Birthday!

This past week, my husband celebrated a milestone birthday.......he turned 60! As I write this, I still can not believe it. In honor of his birthday, we hosted a dinner party with friends....... (stay tuned for future posts all about the food)

As always, the first item on my party planning agenda was the tablescape!  Really like the way it turned it out. Best part........I did not have to go out and buy anything new....One stop in my little shop of horrors in the basement and we were set!

Christmas.......my favorite Tablescapes

Happy New Year Everyone.........Can it really be the 3rd of January 2015......if I did not know it better, I would say I have been in a deep sleep for year.  :)

As all of you, I too made some new years resolutions and one of them, of course was to devote more time to Cook Bake Love....... I have sooo many ideas that I would like to share with all of you and so heres to keeping new years resolutions!!

When it comes to Christmas and Tablescapes, I need more than just Christmas Eve and Christmas Day 1 and 2( in germany we have to Christmas Holidays! ), I have sooooooooo many ideas. Today I would like to share with you my Christmas Eve Tablescape.

With every tablescape I try to add some edible decorations. This year the Santas from Lindt some chocolate Kugeln were enjoyed by all.

Love my little red lanterns....Found them at Action Markt in Cloppenburg(something tells me I should have bought more than just 3!)

Christmas Dishes make this table perfect. My mom and my sisters have the same set. They are german made, but only sold in the United States.

Our Christmas Tree this year.... the three of us go to a tree farm and chop down our own. I was skeptical at first, but in the end very happy with the own we chose.

Happy Tablescaping Everyone!

Germany is WELTMEISTER!

TOR!

Well by now you all know that Germany won the world championship in soccer. They got their 4th star! So of course, I create a soccer tablescape. I would have loved to have a soccer ball, but alas my son is an adult now and so no more soccer balls in this house. Even better would have been a replica of the trophy(as well, getting the real one for table was so totally out of the question....duh!) Even without the soccer ball or the trophy, I think the table still looks kinda cool.

Chocolates....always gotta have some edible decorations

The lamp shades.....found the idea on the internet....found the paper at a german craft store(miracle) and ha

A "Table" full of Easter"Scapes"

Once again I must report that I have been M.I.A.. I am still figuring out how to juggle my job, my home-life and my many, many hobbies! Spring has arrived in Germany and we are so enjoying the awesome weather the Good Lord has blessed us with. Gosh, I hope it stays that way!

Holidays bring out the best of family traditions and one of our favorites seems to be painting! For the second year in a row, my nephew-in-law came to paint. Last year the kitchen and hallway got a much needed makeover, this year the living room! Oh wow, is all I can say. The living room looks great and I am already looking forward to next year, when the gang comes back. My sister and her boyfriend also were here, so needless to say the house was full! The weather was great, the food even better and of course....some wonderful tablescapes came together.

Since my husband did such a good job, making my christmas letters, I had him make some for EAster. This time, though in german! And those eggs-candles, well those came from Nanu Nana.

Easter Sunday Brunch

Easter Saturday "HAM DINNER ".. Oh so good

Good Friday......grilled salmon

The tablerunner was made my niece´s grandmother. I love that I have something of hers.

Happy Days Everyone. I look forward to spending time with all of you again.
