Happy Tuesday!

Greetings Everyone! I have been away for awhile(in the us visiting family), but am now back in Germany--busy as always. The garden has been my top priority since returning on the 2nd of April. I am so excited--spring is here-it was a long winter and we are all ready for days of swimming, skating and of course BBQ´s!

Anyway, I look forward to the usual blog parties that I join in, like Tablescape Thursday, Pink Saturday, and Foodie Friday plus many new ones. There are so many wonderful blog parties to participate in. Truly a great way to meet fellow bloggers and get inspired.

Early in the Year, I had mentioned that I would like to start a blog party and I think I finally found a theme. While in the states, I found an old handbook of my mothers-full of all sorts of tips and tricks for the housewife. It is in German, so I will write in German and English.

Well, still no full service of phone and internet--we seem to all be doing fine without all of it-so I guess it is a good thing!

Met with some sorority sisters last night--what an enjoyable evening we had. Looking forward to the next reunion.

Hello Everyone!

sorry for dropping off the face of blogger world! I am in Chicago at the moment and do not have much time for blogging. I have been busy helping my mom and sister go through my mom's things. We have been successful to a point, but there is still so much to do--pretty sure I will have to come again! One good thing that has come of this is that I am cured of going out and buying stuff I do not need!!LOL!

Purging is hard work. When I am back in germany, I will share with you some tips on how to make your next purge job a little easier.

Margarita Cake!

Hello Everyone! Finally I can share with all of you what has been going on here!!! A girlfriend of mine celebrated her 40th birthday this past weekend. It was a surprise party extravaganza! A three day event actually-starting with the surprise celebration at the Hyatt, a Mexican fiesta at the house next day and ending with the baptism of the birthday girls Godchild!! Every event was special in its on way and all 3 events were simply perfect. For the big surprise at the Hyatt I got to make the birthday cake---a margarita for the birthday girl who loves Margaritas!

Pickels Peppers--Pots and Pans

Einer meiner Liebings Geschäfte in meiner Heimat war Pickels Peppers Pots and Pans. Ein süsses kleines Geschäft mit alles was das Herz von einer HobbyKoch/Bäcker höher schlagen läßt. Leider wohne ich nicht in Pontiac, sonder in Deutschland und so kann ich nicht eben dort einkaufen. Ich habe, aber vor kurzem ein super online Shop gefunden, es heisst: www.kuechenundhaushalt.de

Dort gibt es alles mögliche! Alles was man braucht um das Perfekte Dinner zu Hause nach zu machen. Dort kann man tolle Sachen auch fürs Bad und Haushalt finden. Eine von meiner Lieblings-seiten ist die über Pfannen.


Suchst Du eine Pfanne von Stoneline oder eine Fischpfanne  dann bist du hier Richtig! Ich bin immer auf der Suche nach einer schöne Pfanne. Heute bin ich findig geworden---Assheuer + Pott Schmiedeeiserne Servierpfanne!!! Der kleine(16 cm) kostet nur 10,50 €.  Da ich dabei bin eine kleine InHaus Catering Firma aufzubauen, kann ich dieser Pfanne gut gebrauchen. Mein Mann ist schon lange ein Fan von Schmiedeeisen, ich denke er wird sich auch freuen so eine Pfanne zu haben!

Music makes the world go around

Hello Everyone--I have been absent for a little bit-please forgive--nothing serious--just super busy getting ready for my trip to the states!

This week I am I thought a musical tablescape would be nice to do and since I  play the saxophone, my son the trombone and a trumpet is also still in the house I decided I had the beginnings of a great table!
