I found the recipe online at bullwrinkle.com
Be sure to stop back for more great treats for our four legged friends.
The Recipe
2 tsp dry yeast
1/2 cup lukewarm water
2 Tablespoons dry parsley
2 Tablespoons minced garlic
1 1/2 cups chicken broth
1 egg
5-6 cups whole wheat flour
Directions
Preheat oven to 350°
Dissolve yeast and water. Stir in the next 4 ingredients and mix well. Gradually add in the whole wheat flour. Roll the dough to 1/4" thick and use a dog bone shaped cookie cutter to make the biscuits. Bake 30 minutes-turn over and bake for 15 minutes more. Let cool overnite in the oven. Biscuits freeze well.

ReplyDeleteI am over-joyed to receive this recipe. Our niece is our vet and I've always thought it would be fun to take in a plate of homemade treats to set on the counter at her receptionists desk. Just a little thank you for the sweet care she gives to our Butchy. I will absolutely be using this, Thank you. Now I need to find a dog biscuit cookie cutter, any ideas? I'm thinking I'll look on Amazon . . they just about have anything you're looking for. Connie :)
