Saturday Morning in my garden

Good Morning!
one of my many morning rituals is to enjoy my first cup of tea out on the patio.. My garden is sooo peaceful in the early morning hours---that time when the neighborhood is still asleep---all you hear are the birds!
Today, I grabbed the camera and took a stroll through the yard. Although, nothing pink---I still would like to share these pictures with you on this this Pink Saturday.

So, take a moment, enjoy a cup of tea and stop over at How Sweet the Sound  for more wonderful  pink!

Cookies for my godchild

my niece is studying for finals at the university of Illinois---Her Freshman Year is coming to an end. I am so proud of her-she overcame her homesickness---made lots of new friends(some of who I got to meet while home in April) and is getting awesome grades in subjects I never would have dreamed of signing up for.(Chem 1 and Calculus to name just 2).

To help her study I baked some cookies for her--they will go in the mail on friday and here´s praying the package will arrive on time!

Be sure to take some time and check out the other wonderful entries at Foodie Friday!

New Color for the fence

I have been talking, dreaming, and planning a new fence for years now.  Colors and styles have been over discussed and of course the financials of it all! Well, in the end it was decided to paint the old fence instead of replacing it with new one. A dark terracotta is our choice of color.

Yesterday, on April 30, 2011 my husband and son started sanding it down and then I took over with paint. I hoping to have this job down by the weekend---we will see if I am right!
