Mothers Day 2012

This past Sunday we celebrated Mother´s Day, here in Germany and in America. Since my husband spent it with his mother in Lingen(he is forgiven as my mother in law will be turning 90 in a few months!) I set the table and made lunch for my girlfriend Kim! Now, you make ask if only one person was coming for lunch, why set the table for 6? Simple---Tablescape Thursday! And yes I could have created a setting just for 2, but my big table was just screaming to be set for more! This tablescape is one of my favorites--I love how the pinks, reds, and whites all came together. My friends tease me all the time that I have soo much stuff....but when I get inspired and start putting a table together--I love that all I have to do is go in my basement store room to find all the goodies I need!

Napkins and Table Runner-Match!---Bought at the IHR Napkin Factory Outlet in Cloppenburg

Oh those delicious truffles from Kim and Paul---a thank you for taking care of Stella! I have to confess I ate every last one of them!(naughty, naughty but oh so worth the sin)

The following pictures are taken with our new camera! I am still learning how to use the camera we have......oh oh more studying ahead of me!

By far not perfect, but one of my favorites..

Do you see the m&m´s? Simply the best---edible table decorations that match the color scheme!

Two salt pots--one for regular salt and one for magic salt(recipe to come soon!)

Happy Thursday Everyone! It is a holiday here in Germany--so we are taking it easy and enjoying being lazy! See you all next week when it is time again to join susan for Tablescape Thursday over at Between Naps on the Porch!

  1. What a lovely Tablescape Color Scheme. I would never have thought to put Pink, Red, and White together and it's absolutely stunning. What adorable salt pots~ The red drinking glasses really set the table off. And I adore the tablecloth and napkins. The Tablecloth and it's design really complement and pull all the colors together perfectly! LOVELY!!!
