Viva la Mexico
By now you all know, that mexican food is one of my favorites.....and I love setting mexican tablescapes....
This time I pulled out my colored wine glasses..The blue one is from my mom´s collection
The paper mache fruit comes from a trip to mexico
Need to drink some more tequilla (only have two hats....... )
The Menu (IKea Frames)
The charger plates as well as tablelinen come from IKEA (you all know how I love that place!)
My personal favorite of this table is that I was able to use more than one color napkin..... That is one of the many reasons why I like to do mexican tablescapes.....the bright colors make me happy
Happy Sunday Everyone!
Posting this week to the Tablescaper,
A Tomato How To!
This week for new recipe Sunday, I would like to share a how to with you. A how to of how I prep my tomatoes when makeing my own Rotel Tomatoes for Sante Fe Soup. You see in Germany you can not get Rotel Tomatoes, but thanks to the Internet, I found a recipe that showed me how to make my own. First step is getting the tomatoes ready.
Step One, pour boiling water over the tomatoes. This will make the skin burst and a whole lot easier to peel.
Step Two, peel the tomatoes
Step Three, dice the tomatoes.
Step Four.....the green chilies...
Be sure to tune in again for the rest of the story!

when in germany...learn to think out of the box
Last Friday I had the girls over for Girls A Cookin.......(will post those pictures soon) We made a recipe from Angela´s childhood...oh so easy and oh sooo good. Well, there was one hurdle we had to jump. You see in Germany you can´t get Minute Rice(well Onkel Bens has its version but it is really expensive. Thankfully we have internet and I found a recipe to make my own! Who would have thought. I found the recipe at.....smallwalletbigappetite. Many thanks, it saved the day!
To find the recipe, just stop over at smallwalletbigappetite..... By the way she has tons of great ideas and recipes.....

Pizza Snacks
Good Evening Everyone,
remember awhile back I am made some snacks with the Happy Snack from Tupperware? For those of you who do not remember i used pastry dough, filled it with a creamed cheese mixture and after a short time in the oven....voila! A super snack!
This afternoon i took my Happy Snack(heart shapes) and some pizza dough and created this weeks "New Recipe"
The recipe called for bell pepper paste, now I did not have this so I used tomatoe paste! I did have the rest of the ingredients which were the following:
After mixing all the ingredients together, I rolled out the pizza dough. I layed one sheet of pizza dough over the happy snack, filled each little heart shaped crevice with the cheese mixture and topped the whole thing off with a second layer of pizza dough. I used the rolling pin to "roll over" the dough and mesh the two layers together. Then, I popped out each tiny little heart and after about 10 minutes in the oven, created a great snack!

Teddy Bears Birthday
Do you all remember way back when I posted some pictures of pink material and told you all about this teddy bear I wanted to sew? Well, last fall I FINALLY got the job down. Kuddos to my girldfriend Birgit who helped me...without her I am pretty sure this teddy bear would still be just a pile of fluff. Clara turned 3 in November and since her favorite color is pink..... or "mädchen Farbe/girl color " as she calls it, I thought a pink teddy bear was just the right thing!
Happy Pink Saturday Everyone!
