Getting Fit on a Sunday

What a gorgeous day here in Kleinmachnow/Berlin....it is like summer decided to come back just one more time before she lets winter take over! SO, the wonderful weather inspired me to put on my tennis shoes and get out there. With music in my ears(thanks son of mine for your ipod!) I took to the great outdoors and I was not alone--bikers, walkers, runners everybody is leaving the television and computer behind for some fresh air!

The walking is slowly turning into jogging!!! Again my goal was a half hour work out which I completed.  Feeling good and ready to get some translation work done, oh and probably  some housework too! Busy week ahead of me---but I promised myself that I will not let that stop me from my exercise plan!

Oh oh again I am late in posting my entry for today---please forgive! and do enjoy this pink scooter!! My niece took this picture in Hamburg where she lives.

Fishy

It all started when Liz and Danyo gave me this great plate from Portugal! I un wrapped the package--saw the motive and the tablescape part of my brain started to create!! But than I got "tablescape block" and what I had created just did not seem right. Stephanie comes to the rescue and off I go...!

 

I found the shells and fish net at some stores near home---best they were on sale! Now, somewhere in my shoppe of horrors(my storeroom in the basement) I know there is a bag of shells...just could not find them!

Day 2 WiiFit

Yep! I did it--got that wii out and manage to do some yoga!!  Mr. WII was also kind and made my age 44--only one year older than I am. He did say that i was slightly overweight!!! 

Next goal:: adding rollerblading to the agenda. Hoping to get in some good workouts on skates before the weather turns on me.

I´m Walking........

Finally, I did it. I got off my butt-dusted off the tennis shoes and went for my first power walk in so long that I can not mention it here! Got in a good powerful 30 minutes. Not a lot I know, but a start. My goal is not only too lose a couple kilo´s, but more importantly to get in shape and feel better about myself.

Tomorrow---I set up the WII FIT and hope it does not say I am an old overweight woman!!!

Girlfriends

This Saturday, I am writing to you about the women in my life. First let me say I am married-have a child, cat and fish that all make me happy, but without my girlfriends, I would be lost. They are ALWAYS there for me..patiently listening to me whine, cry and complain and believe me I am good at all 3! They are also there to share the good times...like the birth of a child or a new job or finding something "pink" at TJ Maxx! Not all of my girls are near me---they are spread out over the world-from florida to austria. I am thankful for telefones, email, fb and skype-it keeps us connected. We all want to retire and live together like the "Golden Girls".... I think we are going to need an awfully big house!

Breakfast for Mickey

Wow- it is Thursday already-this has been one crazy week for me. First a friend of mine had to have emergency surgery on Monday (she is well and at home resting) then I got my first major translating job and of course there are a couple of cakes to do this week. SO, needless to say I have not been the least bit bored this week! All is turning out well though, as I said my girlfriend is home and back on track, my translating job is done and even found some time to throw together a breakfast for one!
