Friends of ours have a little girl soon to be 5 years old. She is all girl--pink all over!! I think I could find a years worth of posts just in her room alone! Of all the pink she has, I think this share is my favorite.
Happy Pink Saturday Everyone!
Finally, our outdoor living space is becoming livable again! The trees and bushes are growing, the hostas are coming up everywhere!!! I am so ready to sit outside and enjoy our little piece of paradise. Can´t wait to get the lawn mower out and cut the grass. Crazy, I know, but I love the smell of freshly cut grass!
06 May 2010-marks my husbands 55th Birthday! Tradition has it, that the birthday boy brings cake to work. My husband is an officer in the German airforce and has 70 people in is department! That is a lot of cake! So, I made a Zitronenblechkuchen(Lemon Sheet Cake), 2 different batches of brownies and of course a decorated 11X15 chocolate cake! As I am writing this post, the cakes are being enjoyed by my husband and his department!

Looking through old photos, I came across the pictures of my son´s 13th Birthday. We planned a Murder Mystery Dinner. Unfortunately this group of 13 year olds were not quite ready for such a party. The tablescape on the other hand was a success, if I do say so myself! I had fun doing this one. I was amazed what I all found in the stores here in Germany. The black bulbs hanging from the ceiling were found at IKEA the year before at Christmas time, if you can believe that. I, the crazy decorating lady of course was very happy! I was dreaming up lots of ideas, but certainly not Christmas! Any ways, I trust everyone is enjoying a happy Thursday? The weather here is not so great-rainy and cold-hopefully the weekend will be better!
Greetings Everyone! I hope this Thursday Tablescape reaches you on a good note. We here in Germany are enjoying a few days of beautiful weather-hoping it will last for awhile!
The orange plates come from Ikea. I had originally bought them for Halloween, but am finding myself using them more and more. The wine glasses were a gift-they are from Rosenthal.
The vases as well as the tea light votives are of course IKEA! One of my favorite stores!
Now about that Centerpiece! I was basically done with the table and on my way to get the camera, when I walked by this item--one of the many cat toys for Will and Grace-it matched perfectly, so on the table it went-threw in some silk flowers and called it perfect!
The basket I also got from my mom. I still remember her using it when I was a kid.
The silverware was a wedding gift from my parents, way back in 1989(Crate & Barrel)
