Kisses for Halloween

By now everyone knows that I love Halloween - nothing new, right? Right! So, sit back and enjoy a tablescape with a touch of purple!

We picked up these skelton Cups a few years back--they were a perfect addition to this table. Oh and look there is that mouse again.

Who can resist a skull and a some hersheys kisses--of course in purple!

One of my new additions this holiday season-a purple pumpkin! The inspiration for this table setting.

The little lights on the table were bought at Kik--a discount store here in Germany--3 for Euro!

Make sure to stop by Between Naps on the Porch for some more wonderful table settings.

Here in Kleinmachnow(Berlin) we are enjoying an incredible bright and sunny November. So not what we should be having---which would be rain, gray gloomy skies, and more rain! Nope, Mother Nature is making up for the lousy or should I say lack of summer that we had! The following pictures were taken by my son and I this afternoon--I think we got some pretty cool shots.....

Halloween!

My favorite holiday is upon us----Halloween! Sometimes I wish i had more than just one dining room table---so many ideas for a themed tablescape!

The napkin ring holders come from IHR Servietten in Cloppenburg (bargin at 1 euro a piece!)

The tablerunner was a gift from my sister and was the inspiration for this tablescape.

Every holiday I seem to be able to find something new and unique to add to my collection of decorations--  Esmerelda the witch as I call her was this years find--another bargin at 11 euros! (I must admit I had waited for a weeks for TK MAXX to mark her down and they did!!!) The spider candle holder is yet another fun gift from my sister Heidi, who also is a Halloween Fan.

A cute owl from my mom!

Ah and every witch needs a mouse near by!

The stemware is a collection of different colored wine glasses that I bought on ebay.

The dishware--both orange and black are from IKEA!!
The black tablecloth is simply a few yards of black material--some day I am going to have to make time hem the darn thing so that it looks proper.

Happy Halloween Everyone! Hope to see you all next week again at Tablescape Thursday, hosted by Between Naps on the Porch

Sunflowers.....

 Hello Everyone!

A few weeks ago I went down to the basement into my little store room and came back upstairs with lots of yellows, greens and sunflowers!!!

The dishes come from Ikea(where else!!!??)
Oh and the more I think about it, the material for the tablecloth and the runner came from Ikea too!!

The smaller of the two wine glasses is a set of stemware from my mother in law. I have been admiring these glasses for so long and now I get to enjoy them!

I hope this Tablescape Thursday finds you heathly and happy. We are looking forward to a long weekend, as the 3rd of October is a holiday here in Germany.

Be sure to stop by Susan´s at Between Naps on the Porch for more wonderful Tabelscapes!

 Happy September Everyone!

I just love these dishes---they belonged to my husbands grandmother and I am lucky to have them. The wine glasses, so petit--are from my mother in law. The tablecloth was a find at TJ Maxx.

Have a wonderful day everyone and see you next week when once again Susan hosts Tablescape Thursday over at Between Naps on the Porch!

Fall Colors

The calender tells me it is the 12th of September already--wow time is is sure not standing still for me.  Summer break is over and so the cake orders are coming in, catering jobs are  lining up and my adminstrative assistant´s job is going strong! Our son is back full force in school--just 3 weeks in and already the first exams are coming up. Fall also marks the end  of baseball season--well the outdoor games that is---the team now goes indoor for training.

Fall brings not only school, but one of my favorite seasons: HALLOWEEN. I have already aquired this years new decoration ( a purple pumpkin from TK Maxx) and as you can see in the picture below, the dining room table is  also decorated in fall colors.

Happy Monday Everyone!

I love how the paints, my niece ordered for me---perfectly match the table cloth!
