Greetings and welcome to my tablescape this Thursday!
If you have the time, be sure to stop by and admire the many tablescapes that have signed up!
Welcome to Buschamnn/Winkelmann Spargelhof in Klaistow. This is where I go with my family to buy our pumpkins! There is so much more to do than just buy pumpkins. There is of course the Pumpkin Festivities--every year the people at Buschmann/Winklemann create all sorts of statues using pumpkins-truly a site to see. When you are done looking at pumpkins, stop in the Hof restaruant for something to eat and drink. During the pumpkin season you can get various dishes all made from pumpkin. For the children and the young at heart there is a wonderful playground and of course there is a petting zoo and a shoppe where I always find something I need!!
From Berlin:
A10 till Dreieck Potsdam---take the exit Hannover/Hamburg(you stay on the A10---then take the exit Glindow/Klaistow and turn left towards Klaistow. App.1 km down the road you will find the Hof on the right side!
Wow, a Saturday where I finally was able to sleep in! And best of all I slept through the night without coughing a lung up. You see I have been fighting a lousy cold this week, plus it was a full moon which never helps my sleep habits. But, thankfully I finally got a good nights sleep and am ready to do lots of things today. The sun left and rain is on its way again-so I guess I will concentrate on in door activities!!
Happy Pink Saturday!
Be sure to take a moment and visit some others for a touch of pink
Scones Anyone? This week I had a craving for scones-so I got out my Barcomi Book and tried one her recipes.
Chocolate Hazelnut Scones were the ones! Unfortunately I did not have any Hazelnuts in the house, so I just omitted them from the recipe--still tasted good!
Since I am still fighting a lousy cold, I am not up to translating the recipe for you today-please feel free to email should you like the recipe-or you can find it in the book--"Cynthia Barcomi´s Backbuch"-a must for any collection
Be sure to stop by Between Naps on the Porch for more great tablescapes
Oh just back from my favorite store----TJ MAXX! Today I found a notebook with a beautiful cover--CUPCAKES! So, although my entry this week is not perfectly pink, it is an example of one of my favorite things--CupCakes.
This has been yet again one crazy week--lots of cakes, school meetings and just general madness...so I am looking forward to a relaxing weekend with only my sons orchestra concert on the schedule!
Good Morning Everyone!
I am afraid the Wii Fit will be lonely this morning-I have other things to do! This morning the American Womans Club is going to have a Meet and Greet at the home of Lisa Maurus. I am making a fruit platter and hopefully cinnabons. There was a slight glitch in the cinnabon making process---you see I usually program my bread machine the night before to do all the work for me--well I programmed it for noodle dough instead of just the dough cycle---SO, off to the "pooper" that went and i started from scratch. Here´s praying all will work out. If it does-pictures on Foodie Friday!
This afternoon I have some cake work to do(yea-it looks like I might be getting legal! Well, so far as that I can cook/bake in my clients home-that would be awesome. That would mean that I can finally advertise!
After what will hopefully be a nice day, I get to end it with a visit to the dentist. It seems she has found a tooth that needs a root canal-plus I still have that implant that needs a crown. From now until the end of November I am going to the dentist a total of 8 times! REALLY?
What a gorgeous day here in Kleinmachnow/Berlin....it is like summer decided to come back just one more time before she lets winter take over! SO, the wonderful weather inspired me to put on my tennis shoes and get out there. With music in my ears(thanks son of mine for your ipod!) I took to the great outdoors and I was not alone--bikers, walkers, runners everybody is leaving the television and computer behind for some fresh air!
The walking is slowly turning into jogging!!! Again my goal was a half hour work out which I completed. Feeling good and ready to get some translation work done, oh and probably some housework too! Busy week ahead of me---but I promised myself that I will not let that stop me from my exercise plan!
Happy Sunday Everyone
It all started when Liz and Danyo gave me this great plate from Portugal! I un wrapped the package--saw the motive and the tablescape part of my brain started to create!! But than I got "tablescape block" and what I had created just did not seem right. Stephanie comes to the rescue and off I go...!
I found the shells and fish net at some stores near home---best they were on sale! Now, somewhere in my shoppe of horrors(my storeroom in the basement) I know there is a bag of shells...just could not find them!
