Happy Thursday Everyone!
Once again Susan from Between Naps on the Porch, brings us
all together to enjoy one another's tablescapes!
Last week we had some special guests for dinner. I had received an email from an American living in Kiev, requesting Information for her upcoming move to Berlin! To make a very long story short-it turns out she is best friends with a college friend of mine! And not only is she moving to Berlin, but 3 others out of the same circle of friends will, by the end of the summer all be living here!!!! It truly is a small world. ANYHOW, in order to get to know them we invited 2 of the 3 families to dinner.(One family is already here-in temporary housing, the second family was here to check out the schools) My college friend had told me that Mexican is a favorite of theirs, so out came the tortilla press, the avocados and of course the margarita glasses!!! I did the table a little different than the last time as you can tell by the pictures. In order to seat 11 people I had to extend the table-no tablecloth in the right color, so off to Ikea I went! For 9 euros I got enough material to cover the table. Needless to say we had a wonderful evening! The food was good(thankfully!), the homemade margaritas were fantastic-thanks to a friends recipe and my husband making them, the children behaved, the cats enjoyed the extra time to play outside and the best of all? I think I found 2 new friends!
Be sure to stop by tommorow for the menue and some of the recipes!

What a festive table! I love the drama of the solid plates and the gerbera daisies marching down the center of the table, as well as those great red glasses!
